Great Fast begins: Great Canon of Andrew of Crete

The Great Fast is a forty-day period of prayer, penance, and spiritual time in preparation for the celebration of Easter. Canon of Andrew of Crete is the classic canon of repentance, chanted in parts over the first four days of the Great Fast and in its entirety on the Thursday of the fifth week.
